Bil Senedd Cymru (Rhestrau Ymgeiswyr Etholiadol)| Senedd Cymru (Electoral Candidate Lists) Bill

Ymateb gan Kim Williams | Evidence from Kim Williams

What are your views on the general principles of the Bill and the need for legislation to deliver the Welsh Government’s stated policy objective (to make the Senedd a more effective legislature by ensuring it is broadly representative of the gender make-up of the population)?

I am very strongly against the passing of the Self ID bill. Safeguarding of biological women is paramount, we deserve our own safe spaces, and Self ID will pave the way for men to encroach on these places. Prisons, hospitals, sports and change rooms are vulnerable places for women.  Women cannot be men and men cannot become women. Period. Stop this madness instead of affirming it.

What are your views on the system of enforcement and potential sanctions for non-compliance proposed in the Bill?

This bill is wholly unnecessary in every aspect. It is a waste of taxpayers money, and will have detrimental consequences in the future for biological women. Please stop this bill.

Are there any potential barriers to the implementation of the Bill’s provisions? If so, what are they, and are they adequately taken into account in the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum and Regulatory Impact Assessment?

This bill is unnecessary and detrimental to biological women. Please stop this I implore.

Are any unintended consequences likely to arise from the Bill?

Yes. From a police point of view, said persons will get lost in the system potentially being a huge safeguarding issue in Wales for biological women and for the police. Unnecessary and detrimental at best.

What are your views on the Welsh Government’s assessment of the financial and other impacts of the Bill?

Unnecessary waste of taxpayers money from start to finish. Welsh government should be spending funds on things that matter to us as a country, not this nonsense.

What are your views on the balance between the information contained on the face of the Bill and what is left to subordinate legislation? Are the powers for Welsh Ministers to make subordinate legislation appropriate?

Welsh Government should not be involving themselves in matters of this matter. I have not spoken to one welsh resident that agrees with this bill, and I have spoken to many.

Do you have any views on matters relating to the legislative competence of the Senedd including compatibility with the European Convention on Human Rights?

Again, this is all just a waste of our taxpayer funds, and there is nothing at all to gain, and everything to lose  from passing this bill.

Do you have any views on matters related to the quality of the legislation, or to the constitutional or other implications of the Bill?

Are there any other issues that you would like to raise about the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum or any related matters?

Anything else?

Stop this bill in its tracks please. Not one Welsh resident I have spoken to is happy to see this passed. Not one.
